Pink Flamingo, fun sculpture is designed by artist Matthew Mazzotta, will be on display in November at the main terminal of tourists arriving at Tampa International Airport. This Airport is located 6 miles West of Downtown, Tampa in Florida, USA, and has been praised for its nice architecture at the Central Terminal. The height of the statue would be 6.4m (21 foot). Mazzotta said in a proposal to the Airport that the purpose of this sculpture is to give an in-depth look at the bird scattered throughout in Florida to residents and visitors. Further he said that “The exaggerated scale of the flamingo in Home puts the lives of these birds in focus and puts us as humans in awe as they tower above us reminding us that we all share the same home”

The Airport CEO, Joe Lopano said in a statement “We are more than a place that people simply pass through. We are the first and last impression of the Tampa Bay region. Public art is critical to creating a sense of place and leaving our guests with a unique and engaging”
