Kevin Ebi is a wildlife photographer. He recently captured a set of photographs narrating an epic battle between fox and eagle. This fight was for gaining possession of a rabbit. This photo series connects each moment of this dramatic battle to build a wonderful story.
This incident took place in the San Juan Islands, WA. Ebi’s camera lens was focused on a red fox who was walking across a grassland with its freshly hunted prey. The prey was a rabbit. Ebi intended to capture the authentic movement of the red fox but, it suddenly turned out to be something else as soon as an eagle came into the frame. It dove down quickly and tried to snatch the rabbit from the fox’s possession. But it wasn’t as easy as expected for the eagle because the red fox wasn’t ready to give up on his prey. That’s how the epic battle between fox and eagle started.
The eagle lifted both the rabbit and fox nearly 20 feet up in the sky. Nevertheless, the resolute red fox was still fighting to secure its prey because it only knew the struggle behind hunting it. This epic battle between fox and eagle lasted only for 8 more seconds. Unfortunately, the fox had to leave his effort behind. The eagle flew away triumphantly.
If There Were A Law..
If there were a law and a court for this jungle, Ebi’s photographs could be used to accuse the eagle for sure. However, in the end, everything happens according to nature’s order. What we all have to understand is that what happened had to happen.
According to Ebi’s idea, the nature of eagles is going for an easy option when it comes to food. That’s why he has seen a lot of incidents where eagles steal other animals’ prey. But as he expressed, this robbery is even more dramatic and ruthless. As a wildlife photographer, his target is to capture pictures that unfold interesting stories. He believes that it is his responsibility to share those wildlife stories with people.
Eventually, the red fox got back to its normal life and started playing with its fellows. Luckily, the battle that took place hadn’t done any harm to it.
