Jordan Sprigg is an Australian artist and sculptor who showcases his creativity by transforming waste metal into wonderful animal sculptures. He has been doing this for 10 years. Although time has changed so quickly, the creativity and uniqueness of his work have remained constant for the past 10 years. Today, Sprigg’s metallic animal park consists of almost all the animals, from little insects to large dinosaurs. Sometimes, these animal sculptures look like the characters of a steampunk novel.

Sprigg’s talent has done an exceptional job when it comes to the realistic nature of these animal sculptures. It is difficult to accept that these are metallic sculptures because of the life he has applied to them. Some of his sculptures depict not only the animals but also their common actions. For example, horses are in running or rearing positions while a bull is charging towards its prey. That also enhances the realistic nature of these metallic sculptures.

This Australian artist is passionate about animals a lot. That is why his sculpture collection is full of metallic animals. On the other hand, he wanted to repurpose waste metals because he believed that metals could be used for many purposes other than their typical industrial uses. Sprigg collects waste metal locally from scrapyards located in Western Australia. He believes that the older the metal, the better for artistic purposes. That’s why he uses more than 100-year-old waste metal as the medium for his animal sculptures. The rusted nature of them enhances the majesty of the sculpture.

As a whole, Sprigg’s artistry could give new life to scrap metal. It is one of the most creative solutions for metal waste accumulation.
