Food artist Sarah Lescrauwaet-Beach has found an interesting solution to a problem a lot of parents have. Parents are so concerned about providing their children with healthy food, but what if they don’t like to eat it? As we all know, children become troublemakers when it comes to breakfast time. This creative artist turns fruits and vegetables into cute characters to make their breakfast time more fun.

The ingredients in Lescrauwaet-Beach’s creative breakfast plates are no longer only ordinary fruits, vegetables, and cereals. Through them, she breathes life into animals, cartoon characters, and even different objects. These food arts not only entertain kids but also teach them important lessons as well.

Edible Food Art Kids..

Lescrauwaet-Beach’s food art started in 2018 as a way of relaxing while enhancing her kids’ interest in greens. She enjoyed arranging her favourite fruits and vegetables to create playful and eye-catching characters. Her first food art was a rabbit design. When she witnessed how much her kids enjoyed these cute food arrangements, she decided to post her creations on her Instagram account called “Edible Food Art Kids”.

Talking about how Lescrauwaet-Beach finds inspiration to turn fresh fruits and vegetables into cute characters, her answer was “day-to-day life”. Once she has a creative idea, then it’s time to select the most appropriate foods to create it. When selecting ingredients, colour is a significant consideration for her. Furthermore, she always makes sure to only select healthy foods. Lescrauwaet-Beach never uses junk foods or food additives, even though they are impressive in both taste and appearance. Her favourite food item is blueberries because of their versatility. The majority of her food art proves that. She uses blueberries to create the body parts of animals, specially the eyes and even the background. The average time she spends creating them is 30 minutes. However, this can extend to a few more hours if the design is so complex.

This wonderful food art shows how diverse vegetables and fruits can be. As a whole, Lescrauwaet-Beach follows her passion while pursuing good intentions.
