The Boston Marathon was canceled last year due to the ongoing Corona virus epidemic, and this year the Twin Cities race was held with 20,000 competitors. Further, this is the first time that the 125-year-old marathon has been run in the Autumn season. Generally, a large number of reporters from different parts of the world come to capture and photograph the various moments of the race.
Ben Gavin is a professional photographer and filmmaker who also flew to Boston to capture these incredible pictures of race finishers for documentation. He makes a special commitment to take photos capturing the pain and ecstasy of the competitors at the finish line. Gavin snaps these range of emotions attractively in black and white. Some are victorious at the end raising hands in the air, others are a mixture of joy and fatigue. However, these competitors take months for training to participate this marathon. The pictures thus taken show, how differently everyone reacts when they push their body up and finish the race.
